University of Florida Press (UF Press) is proud to announce a new imprint, Warrington Press, a partnership with University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business.
Warrington Press will publish the Warrington Case Series, research-based teaching cases grounded in real institutional and managerial contexts. The inaugural case study is Building an AI University: From Infrastructure Gift to Systemic Transformation, by UF marketing professor Michael Carrillo. This case is intended as a teaching tool for business, higher education and public-sector leaders studying how large institutions move from technology adoption to organizational change.
Building an AI University describes how UF leveraged an $85 million, multiparty investment to build HiPerGator AI, a leading AI supercomputer in education, and scale to over 230 AI-designated courses across all 16 colleges, with more than 300 participating faculty and 14,000 enrollments. This first case was developed with the support of the UF/NVIDIA AI initiative and its foundational, transformational gift from UF alumnus Chris Malachowsky. It will be followed by four related micro cases examining the leadership structure behind UF’s AI initiative, with more cases on new topics to come in future years.

Warrington Press joins the ranks of publishing programs from other premier business schools in the United States and will take advantage of the book editorial, design, production and distribution capabilities of UF Press. Because business cases are typically short and highly time‑sensitive, this partnership represents a meaningful departure from the Press’s usual publishing model.
“What’s exciting about this collaboration is the opportunity for the Press to support Warrington faculty while experimenting with new forms of scholarly and professional communication, to build capacity for more agile publishing, and to expand the range of services we can offer campus partners. We are looking forward to working with Warrington on future books in the series and imprint,” says Romi Gutierrez, UF Press director. Building an AI University and other books published by Warrington Press will be available in print and digital formats on the UF Press website and wherever books are sold.
